Register for the 2021 International Conference on James Baldwin
June 17-20, 2021
Includes in-person access to more than 40 breakout sessions (panels, roundtables and craft classes). Also includes two continental breakfasts; an opening champagne and dessert reception; Friday night dance party; a "Storytime with Cornel" event on Sunday morning; a vigil and homage at Baldwin's former home; and a closing champagne brunch.. Because seating is sold out in the village auditorium, participants are invited to view the opening and closing plenary sessions via livestream on their personal devices or on large screens in collaborating cafes and restaurants around the village. Creative Writing Track: $885
Enrollment is by application; participation is limited. Maximum 10 participants per workshop in poetry, fiction, essays and playwriting. Registration includes accesss to all academic-activist-creative track sessions, plus five workshop meetings in your genre and close faculty attention to your work. Apply early to secure a place; acceptances are made on a rolling basis. The poetry, fiction and nonfiction workshops are nearly sold out. However we have added a new cross-genre workshop with Rebeccca Walker for writers of prose (fiction and nonfiction). For companions of conference registrants.
