The At-Home Edition

Program under development; register now to keep fully informed. We offer these online events at "we're-all-in-this-together" prices, including an extra special friends rate for those who register for the 2021 gathering.

 

Online Conference Registration: $49 ($9 for in-person conference registrants)

A one-day online event offering a generous sampling of what's to come in 2021

Online creative writing workshops: $349 ($9 for in-person conference registrants)

June 21-28, 2020. Registration includes access to all June 20 events.

To be facilitated by the Fellows of the Maison Baldwin Writer in Residence Program (faculty to be announced), these weeklong online workshops will be offered in four genres: poetry, playwriting, fiction and essay. Featuring:

  • an exchange of creative work with your peers and your facilitator

  • drop-in visits from 2021 creative faculty

  • meets every day for 2 hours; schedule to be determined by group consensus

  • maximum 12 writers per workshop

  • by application only; please send bio and 10-page creative sample to info@lamaisonbaldwin.fr

Registration  $225

Includes in-person access to more than 40 breakout sessions (panels, roundtables and craft classes). Also includes two continental breakfasts; an opening champagne and dessert reception; Friday night dance party; a "Storytime with Cornel" event on Sunday morning; a vigil and homage at Baldwin's former home; and a closing champagne brunch.. Because seating is sold out in the village auditorium, participants are invited to view the opening and closing plenary sessions via livestream on their personal devices or on large screens in collaborating cafes and restaurants around the village. Creative Writing Track: $885

Enrollment is by application; participation is limited. Maximum 10 participants per workshop in poetry, fiction, essays and playwriting. Registration includes accesss to all academic-activist-creative track sessions, plus five workshop meetings in your genre and close faculty attention to your work. Apply early to secure a place; acceptances are made on a rolling basis. The poetry, fiction and nonfiction workshops are nearly sold out. However we have added a new cross-genre workshop with Rebeccca Walker for writers of prose (fiction and nonfiction). To apply for the creative track, send 10 pages of your creative work and a brief bio to info@lamaisonbaldwin.fr with the subject line Workshop Application. 

Plus-One Option: $120 

For companions of conference registrants. Includes two continental breakfasts; an opening champagne and dessert reception; Friday night dance party; a "Storytime with Cornel" event on Sunday morning; and a closing champagne brunch. Plus-ones are invited to view plenaries in livestream overflow spaces.
