Geanice, a versatile writer, holds a master’s degree in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, and a master’s degree in Liberal Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 2009, she earned her bachelor’s degree in English with a writing concentration from North Carolina Central University. Currently, she works as an Adjunct Instructor. She teaches public speaking, communication, English composition, research and writing, and career development courses to online non-traditional students, which includes incarcerated students.
Geanice educates, entertains, and brings awareness to social and racial issues through her creative works. November 2019, Geanice’s monologue, Dear Black Man, was selected by Black Girlz Productions for a reading. April 2016, her short play, Humbling Beginnings, was part of a women's festival at I Act, You Act! Harlem Theater. Soon after, her short play called Tell Me Who Cares was read at the Lama Theater Company in New York City.
In 2019, she created an Instagram profile (geaniceg) showcasing her poetry. She has earned an IMDb credit as a script editor for a short film called Contaminate. Currently, she volunteers as a story editor and advisor to amateur writers at Bedtime Story Broadcast, a Fairfax Public Access station.
