Hilary is an aspiring author based in Harare, Zimbabwe. Born in 1975, Hilary is passionate about empowering young people and women. Hilary’s romance with books began in her father’s small office on a farm school on the outskirts of Harare. Hilary can never remember a time when she wasn’t surrounded by books in her parents’ home. Being the youngest in a family of six, Hilary found inspiration from her older siblings who were members of the local library.

Apart from ashort stint as a journalist, Hilary has worked as a development worker for Non-Government Organisations in the southern African region. Through this work she gained an interest in

gender related issues as well as a strong interest in reducing the stigma associated with mental health in Africa. She is a keen traveller who is interested in learning from other cultures. Her first publications were under the Inter Press Services banner in the form of feature stores relating to development issues in Zimbabwe. She now intends to enhance her writing career by publishing books for the African audience.
