Renia White is a poet and writing instructor from the east coast. She earned her BA in journalism from Howard University and her MFA in creative writing from Cornell University. She’s taught at both Cornell University and The School of the New York Times in addition to consulting writing privately and as a GrubStreet consultant.
Winner of the 2015 Hurston/Wright Foundation’s College Writers Award as well as Sonora Review’s 2016 Annual Literary Contest, her work has been a finalist for awards from journals such as The New Guard, Yemassee, Cosmonauts Avenue, Southern Indiana Review, Fairy Tale Review, and Indiana Review. Her poetry appears or is forthcoming in The Offing, Prelude, Slice, Poetry Daily, Ruminate, Witness, The Southampton Review, and elsewhere. She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
