Painters, sculptors, textile artists, digital queens, mixed-media mavens of the female-identified persuasion:

Announcing a visual art exhibit open from Spring 2019 to Spring 2020 at La Maison Baldwin's Welcome Center in Saint-Paul de Vence, France, James Baldwin's adopted hometown.

We are particularly interested in work that explores the later Baldwin, from 1970 to his death in 1987, during a period of his artistic and intellectual life in which his writing demonstrated a deepening fascination with gender, sexuality, and the female perspective.

The exhibit will run from April 20, 2019 through May 1 2020. New work will be accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year and added to the show as space becomes available. There are no size requirements for the work.

The deadline for submissions to be included in the opening event is April 1st.
