The Nice International Airport (NIC) is located 25 minutes by car from St. Paul de Vence.
The nearest train station is the Gare SNCF at Cagnes-sur-Mer.
traditional taxi from the airport is roughly 50 Euros
taxi from the train station is roughly 25 Euros
Uber operates in the region; Lyft does not
the 400 bus goes directly to the village from both the train station and the airport (1.50 Euros). Last bus is at 8pm.
During peak arrival and departure hours we will help you arrange shared taxi rides to and from the airport.
If you cannot find lodging within walking distance of the village (warning: the region is hilly and cobblestoned; pack sensible shoes), we recommend booking your accommodations in the neighboring villages of la Colle-sur-Loup and Vence. Both are a 5 minute bus ride from St. Paul, and we will be offering low-cost shuttles from these two villages to and from the conference site.
What to know if you plan to rent a car. Saint-Paul de Vence is a pedestrian village. Paid street parking is scarce and garage parking is expensive ($35/day). Should you rent a guest house or apartment in a residential or countryside area, free parking will normally be available at your lodgings; you can then drive to the nearest conference shuttle pickup point, where for a more affordable rate you can leave your car for for the day.
Shopping: aside from a very small shop that sells overpriced essentials, there are no grocery stores in St. Paul de Vence. The closest supermarkets can be found in Vence or la Colle-sur-Loup.
Book early: hotels and guest houses in the Cote d'Azur region are often fully booked months in advance.
All lodging within the village ramparts is sold out.
